The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia is ranked among the top  universities in Italy for its high level of research and offers state-of-the-art facilities with internationally sponsored research activities. UNIMORE uses AIRI (Artitifial Intelligence Research and Innovation center), an Artificial Intelligence research laboratory with more than 50 researchers, mainly oriented towards Deep Learning and Computer Vision and with extensive experience in creating and evaluating efficient and scalable deep learning solutions  for understanding images, video and industrial data. IAIRI hosts the ELLIS (ellis.eu) Modena Unit and it has been involved in more than 20 national and international projects on both foundational and industrial deep learning research.
