EDF-STORE had a strong presence at OPTRO, highlighting progress in AI and optronics through collaborative efforts and expert discussions.
Key highlights included:
🔹EDF-STORE: Samuel LEGOUPIL (Thales) introduced the STORE project and explained how standardized datasets accelerate collaborative AI models developments.
🔹Semantic segmentation for drone detection: Bénédicte Bascle (Thales) highlighted progress in image processing for higher operational performances in drone detections.
🔹Defence image analysis: Nicolas Boehrer (TNO) introduced new AI modules for threats detection in military context.
🔹 Experimental AI database: Stéphane Langlois (ONERA – The French Aerospace Lab) stressed the need for high-quality data and good acquisition campaigns practices.
Thank you to all speakers and participants for the dynamic exchange of ideas. After two years of intensive work, we are now preparing for the final demonstration of EDF-STORE in October 2026.
This final on-field demonstration, taking place from October 12 to 14, 2026, at Saumur (France), will bring together optronic systems from STORE partners, drones as threats, and tanks from the Musée des Blindés, showcasing EDF-STORE’s full operational potential.
Stay tuned for further updates!
